On Sunday afternoons on Big Bowl Island, the sun falls on the riverfront. People are resting, walking, and fishing, and the afternoon sun pulls down long shadows of people. This oil painting by French neo-impressionist painter Georges Seurat uses the pointillism method, placing dots of complementary colors in adjacent positions to strengthen the tension of the picture.
We chose nylon fabric to better reproduce the effect of the painting, and the interior is made of soft light pink leather with smoky purple fabric backing to convey our understanding of color through PAPERMOOD.

Impressionist painters usually adopted the painting method of directly depicting scenes in the outdoor sunlight, pursuing to attach the instantaneous sense of light to the canvas according to their own mental processing. They recognized that shadows themselves had color, and that a tree or a green leaf in a painting could appear light blue, with variations approaching purple if one looked closely. Therefore, we chose an impressionistic purple color for the lining of the book jacket.

Founded in 1891, the Chicago Art Museum is one of the world's oldest art galleries, with a collection that includes Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works, classical paintings, American visual art, contemporary art, Asian art, and more. "At the end of 2018, the Chicago Art Museum joined Creative Commons Zero and released the public rights to some of the works in its collection, including Sunday Afternoon on Big Bowl Island, which is one of the museum's treasures.
