The cover is made of LIBERTY's representative floral fabric pattern, with pink, purple and blue aster flowers clustered together like a bright and colorful painting, while the dotted green leaves soften the whole color scheme, giving people a sense of comfort and serenity. The back pocket and lining are made of purple microfiber leather, adding to the calm atmosphere.
Michelle, meaning Aster, is a floral pattern created in the 1930s. This pattern was developed from a 1933 design in the LIBERTY Historical Pattern Archive and is one of LIBERTY's iconic floral patterns. The designer of the pattern, D.S, also created the Besty pattern, which was a favorite in previous years.
The cover of the book cover is made of Tana Lawn™, an iconic fabric developed independently by LIBERTY and printed at the LIBERTY print factory between Milan and Lake Como in Northern Italy. It has a silky smooth feel, while at the same time better reproducing color effects.
Founded in 1875, LIBERTY ART FABRICS is the UK's leading print brand with an international reputation for original prints and color schemes. With a long history of working with artists, writers, craftsmen, architects and illustrators, from 19th century artists William Morris and Dante Gabriel Rossetti to 20th century Yves Saint Laurent, Liberty's design studio produces more than 120 new designs each year, combining original ideas and life experience with a passion for art print fabrics.
